Notice of Proposed Increase in Fees
Pursuant to A.R.S § 9-499.15, notice is hereby given that at a meeting on June 3, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. the Avondale City Council will consider a resolution adopting the city’s budget and approving the 2019-2020 fee schedule in the Council Chambers at City Hall located at 11465 W. Notice of Proposed Tax Increase
(Primary Property Taxes)
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-499.15, the City of Avondale hereby gives notice it may raise its primary property taxes over last year’s levy of $2,914,679 at a rate of 0.7318 to $3,039,967 with a rate of 0.7003.
Should the City Council believe it is appropriate to increase the primary property tax levy (revenue), the City will follow the Truth in Taxation hearing requirements pursuant to state law, and will publish and post a notice of a public hearing to be held at the following date and time:

Annually property taxes must be approved by ordinance. A first reading of an ordinance to approve the primary property tax rate set by Council may occur at a public meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, June 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. A final reading of the ordinance may occur on Wednesday, June 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
By posting this notice up to the maximum allowable, it provides City Council with the flexibility in deciding the City’s property tax levy (revenue) for FY 2020 Budget.
In accordance with Arizona Revised Statute §9-463.05, the City of Avondale adopted the final 2019 IIP and Development Fee Report with modified impact fees at the City Council meeting Monday, May 6, 2019. The revised fees will be effective August 1, 2019
