Citizen Bond Committee Timeline 

In September 2024, the Avondale City Council created a Citizen Bond Committee made up of Avondale residents, tasked with evaluating future capital improvement needs. Their role is to make recommendations to the City Council for a potential general obligation bond election in November 2025. Here is a quick timeline of the Committee’s activity.

• December 2024 – March 2025

The Citizen Bond Committee met to discuss future projects and bond financing options to be recommended to City Council.

• April 2025

The Citizen Bond Committee made a recommendation to City Council. The City Council voted to place two questions on the November 2025 ballot.

• November 4, 2025 - Election Day

Two bond questions authorizing future bond sales will be presented to voters for approval.
