Water Education

The City of Avondale is committed to working with our local schools on water education. Free water conservation magic shows and or in class presentations are offered to schools in the Avondale water service area on first come first serve basis.  Please contact the Public Works Water Conservation Department at 623.333.4422 for more information on these programs.

The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre free puppet shows!

     Zoner & the Drip puppet shows         HOTEL SAGUARO to be Presented at The Great Arizona Puppet Theater This Month

Invite the Great Arizona Puppet Theater to visit your school. "Zoner and the Drip" is an engaging puppet show that encourages students to use water wisely in our desert region. Hotel Saguaro helps students learn the importance of desert ecology. Shows are for students in grades K-3. 

The puppet shows require a minimum of 50 and no more than 80 students per in-person show and last approximately 50 minutes. Multiple shows can be booked back-to-back in order to accommodate additional students. Schools have the option of requesting a pre-recorded or live in-person puppet shows.  Complete the puppet show request form for your school to schedule a show.
