In 2019 the City of Avondale adopted the 2018 International Energy Efficiency Code. The Code ensures that new structures are efficient, well-sealed, and properly designed for our desert environment. Buildings that adhere to the 2018 code save their occupants money, reduce energy use, reduce pollution and GHG emissions, and promote sustainability in our community.
