 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)


Holiday Trash Pick-up Schedule

There will be NO trash, recycling or bulk/green waste service on the dates listed below.  

New Year's Day - Wednesday, January 1
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Monday, January 20
Presidents' Day - Monday, February 17

Memorial Day - Monday, May 25
Labor Day - Monday, September 7
Veterans Day – Wednesday, November 11
Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 26

Christmas Day - Thursday, December 25

The remainder of the week following any holiday listed below, trash and recycling service will move to the day AFTER your normally scheduled pickup day.  


MONDAY HOLIDAY:  If the holiday is on Monday, pickup begins on Tuesday that week.  Monday services moves to Tuesday, Tuesday moves to Wednesday, Wednesday moves to Thursday, Thursday moves to Friday, and Friday moves to Saturday.

THURSDAY HOLIDAY: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday service days are not impacted. Thursday service moves to Friday, and Friday moves to Saturday. 

WEDNESDAY HOLIDAY: Monday and Tuesday service days are not impacted.  Wednesday service moves to Thursday, Thursday service moves to Friday, and Friday service moves to Saturday.
