Hours & Location:

The Property Room is open Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be assisted. The Avondale Police Department Property & Evidence Unit located at 11485 W. Civic Center Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323. The entrance is locked on the east side of the police building directly west of the court building. 

Impounded Property Releases:

Property is released during regular business hours, 7 am- 4 pm. Please call 623-333-7004 to make an appointment or to get information regarding the release of property and evidence. Please note we are closed on all city holidays. 

The owner of the property must come in person to pick up the property and provide a valid government issued photo ID.

If the owner cannot come in, they must provide a notarized letter listing both the assigned individual’s name and the report number.

Firearm releases are done by appointment only to allow time for a background check to be completed.

Items held as evidence can only be released with proper notification from the case officer.  For more information, please contact the case officer or the Property and Evidence Room at 623-333-7004.
