The Avondale Police Department’s Volunteers in Police Service (V.I.P.S.) and Pets in Police Service (P.I.P.S) of Avondale exemplify the mission of the department by “Serving with Honor” and playing a vital role in the successful operation of the department. Currently the Avondale Police Department is only recruiting for Pets in Police Service (P.I.P.S.) volunteers. If you are interested in the V.I.P.S. program, please check back in the Fall when recruitment will open again.

Interested Avondale V.I.P.S. are expected to complete a multi-step application and background process. Once your Volunteer Interest Form has been received, you will be contacted and informed of eligibility to proceed to the next step. Please note all Avondale V.I.P.S. must be a United States Citizen and at least 18 years of age (some tasks require age of 21). Refer to Disqualifications for Applicants for further information regarding eligibility factors.
