City of Avondale Athletic Field Use
The Parks and Recreation Department allows groups/organizations and individuals to reserve athletic field space at parks throughout the City. Reservation requirements, deadlines, and fees vary based on a number of factors which are detailed below. All athletic field user must be 18+ years old and reservations must be made in person at Avondale City Hall (address below) unless otherwise noted.

Private Athletic Field Use:
Generally, this is for one time use by a private individual/entity, e.g., a game or practice with family and/or friends who are not part of an organized group or larger organization. Additionally, private athletic field users can use a maximum of four hours per week and one field per household per night. Residents can make reservations up to 30 days in advance, and non-residents 14 days. Same day reservations are not permitted. All reservations must be made by 4 p.m. at least one day prior to the reservation date, with weekend reservations being made by Thursday at 4 p.m. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 623-333-2400.
Athletic Field Use Allocations:
Groups/organizations who wish to utilize athletic fields on a continuous basis can apply for field allocations. Continuous use refers to requests for multiple dates, fields, and/or locations. The Parks and Recreation Department offers two allocations seasons a year, January-June and July December. Generally, allocations are used by sports leagues, club teams, or other organized recreation programs who need guaranteed space on a consistent basis. Tournament Field Use Rentals:
Groups/organizations can apply to rent City athletic fields to host games/tournaments. Tournament rental applications are approved on a first come, first serve basis. Tournament applications may be submitted up to six months in advance of the requested date.
