***COVID-19 UPDATE*** The City of Avondale, in an effort to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus and in response to Governor Doug Ducey's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected" Executive Order, will be closing various amenities at all public parks beginning at 6 AM on Wednesday, April 1st. These amenities include: playgrounds, Festival Fields Skate Park, dog parks, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, tennis courts and drinking fountains. Avondale Police and Park Rangers will be enforcing these restrictions. All open spaces, trails, walking paths and restrooms will be open for public use from 6 AM to 7 PM. Please note the reduced operating hours. Social and physical distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC still apply in these areas.  

We hope you enjoy the City of Avondale Parks! Please keep the following in mind: 

Park Rules & Guidelines - 

  • All City parks are open from 6 AM - 11 PM (Rental times end at 10 PM)
  • Alcohol is prohibited without a valid alcohol permit
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times
  • Park in designated areas 
  • Glass containers are not allowed
  • Swimming, bathing, boating, operating toys or equipment is not allowed in any of the city's water features, including the lakes at Crystal Gardens Water Treatment Facility
  • Please do not disturb the water fowl
  • Help keep your parks clean by disposing of litter and trash in proper receptacles
