 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

Indoor Facility Reservations 

***Parks Update***  In response to Governor Doug Ducey’s June 29 “Pausing Arizona’s Reopening – Slowing the Spread of Covid-19” Executive Order, the City of Avondale announced that effective Tuesday, June 30, it will implement measures within the City to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Avondale. In an effort to limit opportunities to gather, Avondale will cancel all organized activities, including sports fields and picnic ramada rentals, at its parks through the end of July, 2020. Parks will remain open during normal business hours for visitors to use at their own risk, including the splash pads. Visitors must exercise social distancing and cannot congregate in groups of 10 or more as part of guidelines recommended by the CDC. Groups/organizations and individuals can reserve indoor facilities at several locations throughout the City, detailed below, through the Parks and Recreation Department.  All indoor facility users must be 18+ years old and  reservations must be made in person at Avondale City Hall (address below) unless otherwise noted. Interested parties can contact the Parks and Recreation Department for additional information and to check facility availability.

Avondale Community Center 

Located at 1007 S. 3rd Street, the Avondale Community Center (ACC) has one community room available for rental Friday evenings from 5 - 10 PM, Saturday & Sunday from 8 AM - 10 PM. For availability call 623-333-2400

  • 100 people maximum
  • Must be booked at least two (2) weeks in advance 
  • Rental includes use of up to 20 six foot tables and approximately 100 chairs. No kitchen. Hand washing sink only. 
  • Cost: $25.00 per hour (Resident); $30 per hour (Non-Resident) 
  • $100 non-refundable cleaning fee 
  • No smoking and/or alcohol allowed
  • Renter is responsible for setup & breakdown
