 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)


Adopt A Park & Tree Donation

In order to enhance the quality, usability, and lovability of our parks, the City of Avondale Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department invites volunteer groups to assist with litter pickup, preservation and maintenance of our parks by adopting a park! Help with a one-time day of service park cleanup or adopt a park for the long term. More information here: Adopt A Park Application 


The Avondale Parks and Recreation Department is accepting donations to help beautify the various parks around the City.

Purchasing a tree is simple! We have 2 options! 
Option 1

Commemorative Tree and Bench Program:
What you get:
1. A plaque placed next to your tree
2. A tree which includes the planting, irrigation and limited warranty.
3. The knowledge your tree donation is helping to make parks greener and better for our future generations.

Hug a Tree Today! You can become an official tree "hugger" of the City of Avondale. 
Fill out this form to donate! Your donation will help provide trees for future generations to come.

*This option does not include a plaque. But if you donate $50 or more you will receive an official tree  "hugger"  certificate.

Note: Trees will not be planted year round due to weather conditions. Trees will be planted in the early spring and fall. The Avondale Parks and Recreation department will notify you when and where your tree has been planted.
