 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

***Parks Update***  In response to Governor Doug Ducey’s June 29 “Pausing Arizona’s Reopening – Slowing the Spread of Covid-19” Executive Order, the City of Avondale announced that effective Tuesday, June 30, it will implement measures within the City to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Avondale. In an effort to limit opportunities to gather, Avondale will cancel all organized activities, including sports fields and picnic ramada rentals, at its parks through the end of July, 2020. Parks will remain open during normal business hours for visitors to use at their own risk, including the splash pads. Visitors must exercise social distancing and cannot congregate in groups of 10 or more as part of guidelines recommended by the CDC. The City of Avondale Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer residents 10 parks throughout the City with numerous athletic fields, picnic ramadas, and other amenities.


Reservations for picnic ramadas can be made online via RecDesk. Please note, reservation date must be more than five days in advance.


All other facility reservations, including athletic fields, must be made in person at Avondale City Hall during business hours (see below).

Festival Fields Phase II, GRAND OPENING- NOVEMBER 30, 2019

Cost:  $19 Million

Project Timeline:  January 2019 - December 2019

New amenities include a splash park, playground, fishing lake, multi-use field, picnic shelters, two youth baseball fields, skate park, pump track, pickleball and basketball courts, mediation area and restroom facilities.
