***COVID-19 UPDATE*** The City of Avondale, in an effort to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus and in response to Governor Doug Ducey's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected" Executive Order, will be closing various amenities at all public parks beginning at 6 AM on Wednesday, April 1st. These amenities include: playgrounds, Festival Fields Skate Park, dog parks, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, Tennis courts and drinking fountains. Avondale Police and Park Rangers will be enforcing these restrictions. All open spaces, trails, walking paths will be open for public use from 6 AM to 7 PM. PARK RESTROOMS ARE NOW ALSO CLOSED (4.4.20). Please note the reduced operating hours. Social and physical distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC still apply in these areas.

Parks & Recreation will also suspend reservations for parks/fields, ramadas. Every effort will be made to minimize the impact to city services, keeping in mind that some changes are necessary to ensure the public’s health.
