 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill  https://ubill.avondale.org/

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: https://azgovernor.gov/executive-orders. Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

Summary

The Avondale Public Safety Housing Incentive Program will provide $10,000 to sworn Avondale police officers and sergeants as well as Fire personnel toward the purchase of a home in Avondale. The program is designed to provide an incentive for Avondale public safety employees to live in Avondale while working for Avondale.  The home must be an existing single family residence used as the primary residence and not used as a rental property or for other family members.  New construction is not eligible.  The funds are provided for down-payment and closing costs toward the purchase at the time of closing.  There is no limit to the price of the home that can be purchased as long as the home is within Avondale city limits, and the home is affordable to the homebuyer.  The program will be administered by Neighborhood and Family Services (NFS).

Program Disclaimer

Program participation is subject to availability of funding. In the event program funds are exhausted, interest forms will no longer be accepted.  Once funds become available, employees can then submit an interest form .
