 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

Avondale Senior Center temporarily suspends activities

Effective Monday, March 16, the Avondale Neighborhood & Family Services Department will temporarily suspend transportation, programming and activities at the Avondale Senior Center until further notice.

Home Delivered Meal Program will continue. Participants who rely on the congregate meal program (lunch at the senior center), can pick up a nutritious Brown Bag meal from 11:30am to 12:30 pm on weekdays from the Senior Center, located at 1007 S. Third Street.

If participants who normally receive transportation services from the Senior Center are unable to pick up the Brown Bag meal, accommodations will be made to deliver meals. Weekly Mobile Food Pantry will remain in effect.

Supplemental Food Programs

Supplemental Food Programs are available to the community through St. Mary's Food Bank.  Commodities are available on the 1st Monday of the month and Mobile Pantry is available on the 2nd Thursday, 3rd Wednesday, or 4th Thursday of the month.  Food distribution will begin at 8am on each day.  For more questions, contact 623-333-2705
