The City of Avondale’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was constructed in 2018.  It serves as the focal point for EOC piccoordination of the City’s emergency planning, training, response and recovery efforts. A National All-Hazards approach is utilized to manage the City’s response to any major disasters or emergencies such as fires, floods, acts of terrorism or violence, or any large-scale, planned events that take place in the City.  The EOC provides a secure work area for various personnel from departments and organizations, both within and outside the City of Avondale, to communicate and collaborate during large scale emergencies or events. Also co-located in this facility is the back-up Police Dispatch Center and the Traffic Operations Center.
