Solar and Renewables

Renewable energy is generated from sources that are perpetual (like the sun) or easy to replace (like fast-growing plants). Renewable energy is preferable because it will not run out and typically pollutes much less. Fossil fuels like coal, gas, and oil are the most common non-renewable energy sources. Not only are fossil fuel supplies limited, they also release greenhouse gasses that contribute to climate change.

The City of Avondale integrates clean, abundant renewable energy wherever we can, and we encourage you to do the same!
