PUBLIC NOTICE: In accordance with  ARS § 37-17103. notice is hereby given that at its meeting of April 2, 2018 at 7:00 pm the Avondale City Council approved the estimates of revenues and expenses in the City of Avondale Proposed Annual Budget. In accordance with A.R.S. §9-499.15, notice is hereby given that the City will hold a public hearing for proposed updates to City Department fees and charges. The changes to the fees and charges will be considered for adoption for fiscal year 2019 at its public meeting of June 18, 2018.   Summary of FY 19 Proposed Rate and Fee Schedule Charges.

Our role with the City

The Community Relations & Public Affairs Department encompasses public information and media relations; intergovernmental affairs, Council relations, community relations and citizen outreach, marketing and graphic design, website, social media and cable access channel oversight, as well as transit operations, and grants administration.

The mission of this office is to:

  • Encourage participation in the process of local government, through programs such as the City’s Citizen Leadership Academy
  • Promote Avondale's image as a wonderful city in which to live, work and play
  • Work with other jurisdictions to ensure that Avondale is represented in the development of policies that affect it, as well as advocate for the city’s position at the local, county, state and federal levels of government
  • To keep the community informed
