City of Avondale Business Spotlight Program

 The Avondale Business Spotlight Program honors businesses going above and beyond their normal business operations, donating their time, talent, and treasures to the community. Examples include but are not limited to: staff volunteering in the community, collaborating with fellow Avondale business owners, hosting donation drives and/or supporting local causes or charities.

The businesses recognized through this program will be awarded with:

•             A certificate of recognition presented at City Council

•             A presentation to City Council highlighting the impact worthy of recognition

•             A subsequent photo opportunity

•             Recognition on social media

•             Recognition on the Avondale Economic Development website

•             Print recognition in the RAVE Review publication

Recognition will be provided for at least one Avondale business per quarter, with the first recognition being provided for Panderia La Central on January 26, 2026, for providing couples free wedding cakes when another bakery in the valley abruptly closed.

A quarterly post on social media will ask Avondale residents to suggest a business and describe how this business/organization is making a positive contribution to the greater Avondale community, outside of regular business operations, with specific metrics, such as dollar amounts, number of individuals impacted, partnerships, etc., if possible. Nominations can also be submitted to the Avondale Economic Development Department by emailing ecdev@avondaleaz.gov or calling 623-333-1400.
