Avondale city facilities will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Affected facilities include: City Hall, City Court, Avondale Public Libraries, Avondale Resource Center, Mountain View Community Center, Visitor and Conference Center, and the Community Center, along with administrative offices at Public Works and Public Safety,

While city facilities will be closed, there will be NO CHANGES to trash/solid waste or bulk pick-up schedules.

Valley Metro bus will be operating on a weekday schedule.  There will be no RAPID/Express bus service or WeRIDE microtransit operating on this day.
