Bridge Housing Project to Begin week of Nov. 3 in Avondale
Construction will begin Nov. 3 on a new bridge housing project that will create six residential units for families in Avondale who are experiencing homelessness.
Located across from the Arizona Complete Health Avondale Resource Center (995 E. Riley Drive, Avondale AZ), each unit will feature two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a full kitchen. The bridge housing project is designed to provide families with temporary, stable housing while they work toward permanent housing solutions.
The project is a collaboration between the City of Avondale and Maricopa County, and is partially funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. Construction is expected to be completed by April 2026.
During construction, there may be temporary road closures on Eliseo C. Felix, Jr. Way. Drivers in this area are encouraged to use caution and follow posted detours.
