Avondale to Begin Crack Seal Projects for Pavement Preservation
The Avondale Public Works Department, in partnership with Weems Asphalt and ViaSun, will begin a series of crack seal projects as part of the City’s Fiscal Year 2026 pavement preservation program. Work is scheduled to take place from late July through November 2025.
Trash and bulk trash services will not be affected. Residents are asked to place containers out by 5 a.m. on their scheduled collection day and bulk trash should be placed out by 5 a.m. Monday during collection weeks.
Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Expect lane restrictions and closures in affected areas. Signage will be posted in advance, and door hangers will be distributed 48 hours before work begins to affected households. Vehicles left in work zones may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Work areas include:
Alta Mira at Rancho Santa Fe; Casitas at Rancho Santa Fe; Dysart Ranch; Garden Lakes Parcels 26 and 31; Crystal Gardens; Pecan Groves; Coldwater Springs; Coldwater Ridge; Cambridge Estates; CW Ranch (Starlight Trails); Cashion; Sanctuary Parcels 1–4, and neighborhoods in Historic Avondale (Casa Lomas; Ludlow Heights; Los Amigos; Whyman Lots and Diece Estates). Work will also occur on MC85 (Litchfield Road to Central Avenue and 4th Street to Dysart Road), Coldwater Springs Boulevard, and Riley Road.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather, mechanical issues or supply delays. Public safety is the City’s top priority. For updates, visit www.AvondaleConnect.org.
