Avondale begins Musical Instrument Lending Program

Starting this month, Avondale Public Library is sponsoring a pilot program to lend musical instruments to students in Avondale. The goal of this program is to allow students to try out an instrument before purchase. The program is available for all Avondale residents in grades K-12 enrolled in a music program (through school or private).

Instruments are limited based on availability. Current offerings include alto saxophone, clarinet, bell or drum kits, flute, trombone, trumpet, violin, and viola.

There is no cost for this loan service program. To qualify for an instrument for loan, participants must provide proof of residency and be a library card holder, and must be enrolled in a school or private music program.

To request an instrument, please visit www.avondalelibrary.org/MusicalInstrumentLending  to complete the online form.  Instrument loans are provided based on a 20 week timeframe, extensions available pending availability.  More details provided online, or contact the library at (623)333-2665.
