 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill  https://ubill.avondale.org/

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: https://azgovernor.gov/executive-orders. Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

Avondale Observes Labor Day

The Public Works Department will follow the holiday trash and recycling pick up schedule. The transit ZOOM circulator will remain in operation on this date, but the hours of service will run on a Sunday schedule (6 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). City Council will not meet on September 2, 2019.

Avondale Observes Labor Day


In observance of Labor Day, City of Avondale offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2019. Avondale city offices, libraries, court, community and resource centers will reopen on Tuesday, September 3 for regular business, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Public Works Department will follow the holiday trash and recycling pick up schedule. There will be no trash and recycling collections on Monday, Sept 2. Please note that your container will be picked up one day later. Residents who normally have Friday pick up will have a Saturday trash/recycle service day. Containers must be placed at curbside no later than 5 a.m. on the day of collection.

The transit ZOOM circulator will remain in operation on this date, but the hours of service will run on a Sunday schedule (6 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.).

Council will not meet on September 2, the next Council meeting will be Monday, September 9.
