 **COVID-19 Response**   The following official announcements have been made by the city in regards to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)   In an effort to minimize the visits to City Hall, please use our online services for paying your water bill

Avondale is following guidance provided by the state Governor’s Executive Orders: Effective Sunday, June 21, 2020 the wearing of face coverings by employees and customers will be required in all city facilities,  retail establishments, convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, indoor sports or activity facilities, and medical offices. Additionally, these businesses will be required to post notice of these requirements at their entrances. (see more: COVID-19 Response)

City of Avondale appoints Deputy City Manager

The City of Avondale has named Tracy Stevens as the Deputy City Manager.

Tracy has been with Avondale for over 12 years, formally serving as Development and Engineering Services Director and joined the City of Avondale as the Planning Manager in 2007.  

Tracy has a distinguished career in public service, having worked in the West Valley for 23 years in planning, development services and economic development.  While in the West Valley, Tracy played a key role in capital and private development projects including ISM Raceway, Camelback Ranch Spring Training Facility, University of Phoenix Stadium, and several master planned communities and commercial developments in Avondale, Glendale, and Peoria.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.  Dedicated to public service, she is a member of Arizona Forward’s Regional Council, American Planning Association, International City/County Manager’s Association, and Arizona City/County Manager’s Association.

City Manager Charles Montoya said: “Tracy is a results-oriented manager who is proficient in project management, leading teams and consensus building. She has a proven record of performance excellence, and we are pleased to promote her as the City’s Deputy City Manager.”

The Deputy City Manager will direct high-level projects and citywide initiatives and assist with oversight of key programs impacting City operations.
