In accordance with Arizona Revised Statute 9-463.05, the City of Avondale is holding a public hearing to accept comments on the proposed development impact fees. The public hearing will be held at Avondale City Hall at the City Council meeting scheduled on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the City Hall Council Chambers, 11465 W. Civic Center Dr., Avondale, AZ 85338 at 7:00 p.m. City Council adopted the Land Use Assumptions and Infrastructure Improvement Plan on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019                                                    How does the drought impact Avondale?

6 – 8 pm               Come and learn where your water comes from, how it gets to your home and how the current drought impacts you and your neighbors.

Free shade tree planting workshops

SRP customers must register and attend a tree planting workshop to be eligible for the SRP Shade Tree Program. You'll learn more about the eligible trees, and the best methods for planting and caring for the new trees. The workshops will be conducted by Trees Matter.


Note: Attendees of workshops held June through August will receive trees at SRP's shade tree pickup event at Mesa Community College on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2018, when temperatures are cooler.

Two workshops will be held per day at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
