The Care1st Avondale Resource Center Re-Opens

The City of Avondale Care1st Avondale Resource Center located at 328 W. Western Ave., will re-open Friday, July 7th at 9:00am.  The Resource Center had been closed since June 21 due to a malfunctioning cooling system.

The following operations will return to the Resource Center tomorrow morning:

•Adelante/WIC

•Helping Families in Need (AHCCCS applications)

•Community Action Program (rent & utility assistance)

•IHELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging) 

All other programs and services offered at the Resource Center will resume during the week of July 10th.

The Neighborhood & Family Services Department was created in 2006 to support and nurture the development of families and the neighborhoods in which they live. The goal of the department is to enhance the quality of life and sense of community experienced by residents and families in Avondale's many neighborhoods.
