Avondale Municipal Art Committee Art Sponsorship Program

Avondale Muncipal Art Committee, Aspiring Achieving Accelerating (splash paint background) Arts Enrichment Grant Opportunities

Non-profit agencies and educational organizations are invited to apply for the City of Avondale’s Art Sponsorship Program.

The program, offered for the first time through the Avondale Municipal Art Committee, provides funding to non-profit or educational organizations to support and enhance arts education and activities in Avondale.  Successful applicants could be awarded up to $1,000 for art enrichment programs, special events or community projects that serve the Avondale community.

The Avondale Municipal Art Committee, formed in 2005 to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to public art in Avondale, has set aside $5,000 annually from its operating budget to fund the arts sponsorship program to support art programs and activities offered by local schools and non-profit agencies.  In addition to public art installations, the committee also funds an annual scholarship contest, the Mayor Marie High School Art Contest, to encourage budding artists to pursue higher education opportunities.

Details on Avondale Art Sponsorship Program, including qualifications and the application form, will be available at www.avondaleaz.gov/art . One electronic copy of the application and required attachments should be submitted no later than January 31, 2018. Applications and required attachments should be submitted with the application.
